Overview
With a dramatic seven-foot elevation change from the driveway to the front door, this project required a front entrance design that would feel safe, substantial, and proportionate to the home. Set against a natural waterfront backdrop, the vision was to create an arrival experience that balanced rugged landscape character with clean architectural detail.
Natural armour stone was paired with modern large-format slabs to establish a front entrance that feels both grounded and elevated, offering strong curb appeal and a warm welcome to the property. A beautifully integrated front deck and pergola complement the stonework and create a striking presence, especially when illuminated at night. At the rear, a simple patio and upper dining deck were designed to frame the beauty of the Ottawa River and support relaxed outdoor living. Integrated landscape lighting enhances safety at the front while adding warmth and atmosphere throughout the space.
